Hugo Moreno is assistant professor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Western Ontario. He obtained his Ph.D. in Romance Studies with a specialization in modern Hispanic literature and philosophy from Cornell University. He has published articles on Hispanic analogical thought, Octavio Paz’s poetry and philosophy, and Alfonso Reyes’ humanism. His book manuscript Between Literature and Philosophy: Paz, Zambrano, Borges and the Analogical Tradition of Hispanic Thought is currently under contract and review with the University of Toronto Press. At the present time he is working on a second book manuscript, tentatively titled Rethinking Humanism: Dialectical, Analectical, Analogical, and Metaxological Humanism in Contemporary Mexican Philosophy and Literature.
